How do I get a building project underway ?
There is a standard process, normally involving an architect, structural engineer, your local planning department (if required) and building control. We will guide you through this process without any fuss and have established working relationships with everybody mentioned here.
How can be sure my work will be finished on time/ on budget?
We build everything under the legally binding confines of a contract, normally one of the industry recognised ‘JCT’ variants. This document sets out how long things will take and for what cost, before works commence. It is a legally enforceable document to give both client and contractor peace of mind.
Can I get references?
Always get references and where you can, go to see a current project in action. We will always offer this opportunity to all our prospective clients.
What about insurances?
We will provide copies of our insurance policies prior to contract signing, that provide cover of up to £5 million liability (this can be raised if required). However, always inform your own house insurers when having any works done at your property.
How much does it cost?
That’s up to you; two very similar jobs can have two different costs, depending on client selection and choice of finishes. What we can say is that we are always competitive and will not be beaten on quality of works.
